The Hong Kong New Generation Cultural Association (HKNGCA) devotes to cultivate young people to become caring, responsible and innovative citizens with world-wide perspectives. They conduct activities in several areas: popularization of science and technology, creativity education, leadership training and various large-scale joint school competitions and exhibitions. Nowadays, young people pay attention to the science and technology gradually, so HKNGCA promoted a series of Science Talks, and one of the talks is about the popular robot topic --- Innovative Robot Design and Creative Thinking.
The Talk mainly strengthened the programming understanding of the new generation, to draw their interest in science and technology. In 21st century's, the creative thought become much more important, the talk printed out the method of exercising the creative mind in a daily life, for helping students face to the present and future challenges. On the other hand, robot development and application progressed rapidly in recent 10 years, Japan especially. The talk introduced a new robot called MIDbot which designed by a Hong Kong corporation, for encouraging students to bring out their creativity, to design a unique robot themselves, which can assist and enhance their life.
